Worship, Prayer and Praise
Gideon’s Army Prayer Ministry
A group of intercessory prayer warriors called, commissioned and committed to praying for the body of Christ, the Bethel family, the community and the nation. To this end, the group prays individually daily, and as a collective body, each Sunday before worship and before other services such as revivals and Watch Night.
Greeters Ministry
Greeters stand at each entrance of the church to provide a warm, friendly welcome to members and guests. They give directions, answer questions, provide guests with a Bethel Welcome Packet, and present them to an usher who directs them into the sanctuary.
Music and Creative Arts Ministry
Sight and Sound Media Ministry
Assists the church and its ministries by providing audio/ visual support and control for worship services, seasonal services (Easter, Christmas, Thanksgiving) and other gatherings including public events. Some of its services include video and audio recording, TV worship services broadcasting, and internet streaming of worship services.
Stewardess Boards
Stewardesses assist the Board of Stewards with the discharge of their duties relative to the rituals of baptism and the Lord’s Supper (Holy Communion). They provide the elements of Holy Communion and baptism and dress the altar and pulpit with suitable covering. They also assist the pastor and stewards with sick and shut-in communion. Stewardesses provide suitable dress for the altar and pulpit in accordance with the liturgical calendar and for funerals and memorials, and join stewards in welcoming converts and members transferring from other churches or denominations during the Invitation to Christian Discipleship.
Usher Boards
Ushers greet, seat, and ensure the comfort of members and guests. They provide worshippers with resources needed to participate in the worship service. Ushers receive the offering, and direct the movement of worshippers during Holy Communion and other occasions. There are four Usher Boards at Bethel: Usher Boards One and Two are composed of adult female and male members. In addition to performing the official responsibilities of ushers, the Male Usher Board serves as role model for young boys. The Youth Usher Board, composed of young people from ages 6-18, provides an opportunity for youths to edify the body of Christ by offering hospitality and assistance to worshippers.
